This Privacy Policy explains the information we may collect when you use our website, register for training, request lead-related services, inquire about continuing education, or communicate with LeadShield.

By using this website or submitting information to LeadShield, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Contractor and Firm Information

Because LeadShield primarily serves contractors, firms, property managers, maintenance professionals, sole proprietors, and paid specialty trades, some inquiries may involve business or professional information.

This may include a company name, trade, license type, certification status, project role, or other information needed to understand the training or service being requested.

Business contact information may still be treated as personal information where required by applicable law.

Utah Certification and ATLAS Information

LeadShield training may include guidance on the Utah certification process and use of the ATLAS portal.

Utah DAQ uses ATLAS for company and individual certification applications. LeadShield may ask for limited information about your training status, firm, license, or certification needs so we can explain the applicable next steps.

LeadShield does not operate the ATLAS system and does not control information submitted directly to Utah DAQ.

Information entered directly into ATLAS or another government system is subject to the privacy and data practices of the applicable government agency.

Sensitive Certification Documents

Utah certification may require information or documentation beyond what is normally needed for a LeadShield class.

Do not send Social Security numbers, citizenship documents, government identification, payment-card information, or other highly sensitive information through a general LeadShield contact form unless LeadShield specifically requests the information through an appropriate method.

LeadShield will not ask website visitors to submit unnecessary sensitive information merely to request general training or service information.

Continuing Education Information

If you inquire about continuing education credit, LeadShield may request information such as your professional license type, licensing program, or other details needed to review available eligibility information.

Where CE reporting is available, additional information may be needed to complete the applicable reporting process.

Continuing education information is used only for purposes reasonably related to the training, eligibility review, recordkeeping, or reporting process.
